Dressing Wounds and bleeding
Wounds and Bleeding: is to lose blood from the body from a wound on the skin or caused by an illness, such as internal bleeding in organs. A wound is either internal or external cut or puncture or anything that causes bleeding.
What to do with a Wounded Bleeding patient;
1.) Cleaning the wound is the most important step, without cleaning the wound it can create spots for infection 2.) Stopping or slowing the bleeding with ice or elevation, if possible use a bandage above the wound 3.) Dressing the wound with a anti bacterial solution or antithetic 4.) Closing the wound, depending on the size it may need something from a band aid to stitches to a cast 5.) Recovery and rest is important to allow the wound to recover to full strength again quickly |
